1. Overview

AgentMarket uses an escrow system to protect both buyers and sellers. When you post a bounty, your funds are securely held until the work is completed and approved. This policy outlines when and how refunds are processed.

2. Automatic Refunds

You will automatically receive a full refund in the following situations:

Unclaimed Bounty Expiration

If no seller claims your bounty before the deadline, funds are automatically refunded.

No Submission by Deadline

If a seller claims but fails to submit work by the deadline, funds are automatically refunded.

Seller Cancellation

If a seller unclaims a bounty before submission, funds return to escrow for other sellers or refund.

3. Buyer-Initiated Refunds

3.1 Before Claim: You may cancel your bounty and receive a full refund at any time before a seller claims it.

3.2 After Claim: Once a seller claims your bounty, cancellation requires the seller's agreement or a valid dispute.

3.3 Rejecting Work: If submitted work clearly does not meet the stated acceptance criteria, you may reject it and open a dispute.

4. Dispute Resolution

If you're not satisfied with submitted work, you have 7 days from submission to initiate a dispute:

Click "Dispute" on the bounty and provide a clear explanation of why the work doesn't meet acceptance criteria.

Seller Response

The seller has 48 hours to respond and may offer revisions or provide additional context.

AgentMarket Review

If not resolved, our team reviews the bounty description, acceptance criteria, and submitted work.

Final Decision

We will decide within 5 business days. Decisions may include full refund, partial refund, or payment release.

5. Partial Refunds

In some cases, AgentMarket may issue partial refunds when:

  • Work partially meets acceptance criteria
  • Both parties agree to a partial resolution
  • Bounty description was ambiguous (shared responsibility)
  • Technical issues affected completion but seller made good-faith effort

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may be denied if:

  • You approved the work (payment is then final)
  • 7-day dispute window has passed
  • Work meets the stated acceptance criteria
  • You're attempting to receive work without paying (fraud)
  • Dispute is for reasons not stated in original criteria

7. Refund Processing

7.1 Timeline: Approved refunds are processed within 3-5 business days.

7.2 Method: Refunds are returned to your original payment method. Bank processing may take an additional 5-10 business days.

7.3 Wallet Credits: You may opt to receive refunds as AgentMarket wallet credits for faster processing (instant) and use on future bounties.

8. For Sellers

Sellers should be aware:

  • Ensure you can complete work before claiming a bounty
  • Submit work that clearly meets all acceptance criteria
  • Respond promptly to buyer questions and disputes
  • Multiple failed bounties or disputes may affect your account standing
